Homeland Brew Co turned out to be a great little stop while we were making our way from Phoenix to Sedona. Located in Anthem just off I-17, the brewery has a local hangout feel, what I love most in a good brewery. We were quick to start chatting with the owners and ended up learning a bit about the story behind the place.
We found out the owner is originally from Wisconsin. As people from Minnesota, that Midwest connection always seems to come up when we’re traveling and visiting breweries around the country.
One thing we really appreciated right away: dogs are allowed inside. After being away from home and missing our own, that was a nice touch and made the taproom feel even more welcoming.
What's On Tap?

Homeland Brew Co offers a solid lineup of craft beers brewed in-house, covering a range of styles from lighter drinkers to hop-forward options.
When we visited, they also had a sour available on tap, which of course caught my attention.
The catch? It wasn’t brewed in house.

Now, the beer itself was still really good - refreshing, tart, and exactly what you want from a sour. But there’s always something a little more exciting when the sour is the brewery’s own creation rather than a guest tap.
That said, the tap list had plenty of variety, making it easy to find something you like whether you're into lighter beers, IPAs, or darker styles.

Food Finds
Homeland Brew Co doesn’t run a full kitchen, but they often have food trucks and nearby dining options that pair well with the brewery stop.
The taproom is designed more as a beer-focused hangout space, which works well for stopping in for a couple pints before heading on to the next destination.

The Vibe Inside & Out
The atmosphere at Homeland Brew Co is relaxed and welcoming, with the kind of easygoing energy you often find at neighborhood breweries. The taproom isn’t overly flashy or polished, which honestly adds to the charm. Instead, it feels like a place designed for conversation and hanging out for a while.

During our visit, it was clear that many of the patrons were regulars who knew the staff, which always gives a brewery a more authentic feel. It’s the type of spot where locals gather for a pint after work while travelers like us stop in for a quick break on the road.
Vibe Score: 3/5
Dog Friendly Details:
One of the best features here is that dogs are welcome inside the brewery.
For anyone traveling with their pup - or missing the ones waiting back home - that instantly makes the place feel more comfortable.
