Can of Sticky Puddles out on the boat

Sticky Puddles - Cherry Cheesecake is from Luplin Brewing Company in Big Lake, MN. This version of their "Sticky Puddles" finds itself in my top ranks of all sours. To check out more about the Luplin location, read my full brewery review here.

I’m not a cherry fan. And “cheesecake” flavor in a beer? I was…skeptical. But this one had an amazing-looking can, and after seeing it a few times (and the promise of a hint of cinnamon), I figured it was time to find out what it was all about.

Can of Sticky Puddles at Luplin Brewing

Sticky Puddles Cherry Cheesecake from Lupulin Brewing is one of their seasonal, small-batch releases that disappears as quickly as it hits the shelves. I got mine at the brewery during a quiet Monday visit—and I’ve been planning a re-stock trip ever since.

ABV 9.0%

Available at retail liquor stores like Total Wine, O’Brother’s Wine & Spirits in Annandale, Haskell’s and more, but check online or give them a call - they sell out super fast! And aren’t always able to re-stock. Best bet? Head to Luplin!

Taste-Test

Look & Aroma:

A pinkish red color that is a bit creamy with a bit of soft head, but it fades quickly. The aroma is that of a cherry cobbler straight out of the oven with the perfect amount of cinnamon and a touch of vanilla.

Drinkability:

So, so good. A little creamy but not too thick and a perfect balance of sweet and tart. Easy to drink, super low-key, so drink responsibly!

Flavor Profile:

Tart cherry, vanilla, cinnamon, hints of graham and a little bit of lactose to give it a smooth finish without it feeling too sugary.

Purchase Worthy:

Stocking up! If you see it at the store, grab them while you can! I’m definitely keeping my eye out for this one - and making a special trip to the brewery to fill the fridge.

Final Verdict

Even if cherry or cheesecake doesn’t sound like something you might like, this one might surprise you. And if you do love the idea of these flavors a can? You're going to be obsessed, trust me.

As usual, Lupulin nails the can and branding. The artwork makes it instantly recognizable on shelves, and honestly, if it were my shelf it would be front and center. One of the most drinkable, tasty dessert sours I’ve had. Cherry, cinnamon, cheesecake… It works. Sticky Puddles is definitely a TappedIn favorite—get it while you can, if you can find it!
