Details & Availability

This fridge find comes from Dual Citizen Brewing Co. in St. Paul, MN. This Raspberry Sour is the kind of easy-to-drink sour I like to keep stocked for a low-key night or for friends who are just dipping their toes into the world of sours.
It’s not too wild. It’s not funky. But it is definitely solid—and sometimes, that’s all you need. It's more of a “just right” balance—somewhat tart and very simple. If you’re new to sours or are looking for the more approachable side of the spectrum, this is one worth grabbing.

ABV 5.2%
I wasn’t able to find this one with a lot of off-sale availability. I snagged mine from Total Wine, but it looks like it is also available in Minneapolis at Elevated Beer & Wine or Liquor Boy, or in Edina at Edina Liquor.
Taste-Test
Sour Factor: | Slightly tart. Pretty standard sour flavor. A reliable option. |
Drinkability: | Super easy to sip. This would be a great starter sour if you’re on the fence about fruity, tart beers. |
Flavor Profile: | Pretty similar to other raspberry sours. Nothing out of the ordinary, but dependable. |
Purchase Worthy: | I'd buy it again. A solid “fridge staple” |
Final Verdict
While Dual Citizen’s Raspberry Sour Ale didn’t exactly knock my socks off, it definitely earned a spot in my “would-drink-again” category. It’s still refreshing and has just the right amount of tart to keep things interesting—especially if you’re not sure what to think about sours.
So, if you’re out and stumble across this one, grab a couple. It won’t steal the show, but it will hold its own.
