Drekker has been around the Fargo-Moorhead area since 2014, and sits in an old railroad facility right along the tracks. After the building sat empty for decades, the building was brought back to life. Now it’s part of Brewhalla, a massive community hub that includes an indoor market, restaurants, shops, an event center, and even a hotel.
Having grown up in Fargo, it’s fun to see how much energy and creativity this place has brought back to the area. From the moment you step through the doors, the space is awesome - from the industrial vibe to the wide open layout and great patio.
If you're a craft beer enthusiast (or a sour lover like me), this one needs to be at the top of your brewery list. They’ve got a huge selection of beers on tap and they’re available in 3 sizes: 6 oz, 12 oz and 16 oz.
WHAT'S ON TAP?

I couldn’t get over the fact that Drekker had NINE sours on their tap list! WOWZA!
Thankfully they had a flight option so I was able to at least get a sample of most of them, but there were definitely a few that stood out more than others.
A few of the options were more of a “traditional” sour, so I opted to skip those as they don’t usually have the tart, sweet punch I’m looking for. Here’s a quick breakdown of the flavors I was able to get my taste buds on:
Blueberry Swirlee (6.7% ABV) - They describe this one as a creamsicle sour with blueberry and vanilla ice cream. A little on the thicker side and a bit too blueberry-forward for me. It gets a 2/5 on the rating scale.
SMOL Mango/Lime - (6% ABV) As you can imagine, this one is full of mango and lime. The lime way overpowered the flavors for me and considering that citrus is usually something I steer clear of, this wasn’t my favorite. 1/5

Sour Score: 3/5

Braaaiiinnnss (6.4% ABV) Pineapple, Mango, Lime. Though I typically like the pineapple, mango combination, there was too much of it for my taste. I couldn’t quite finish this one. 1/5
After School Prrrt (6.8% ABV) A “snack-time sour” made with pineapple, strawberry, plum, raspberry, passionfruit, Gushers, and Fruit by the Foot. Yep, that’s what they said, they actually used those in the creation. It was super tasty, fun and my favorite of them all. 4/5
Food Finds
The brewery side in itself doesn’t have much for food options, but take a stroll down the hall to Brewhalla and you’ve got lots to pick from - ice cream, pizza, clams, burgers and much more!
A few options to check out:
Mangata Wine & Raw Bar – seafood and oysters
Cows & Co. Creamery – cheese and gelato
Thunder Coffee – perfect for a morning pick-me-up
You can also bring your food right into the brewery.
Food Score: 3.5/5 for the number of options!

The Vibe Inside & Out
This building has a ton of charm and is one of my favorite brewery locations. The huge outdoor patio with a nice big fire pit and string lights along with a number of other outdoor seating options along the Brewhalla side give you tons of spots to choose from.
Inside the main brewery building there are a number of seating areas - traditional bar tops, comfy couches, and an upstairs indoor seating section. You can’t go wrong.
Grab a high top along the wall and play some pinball while you enjoy your latest pour, or, cross over the painted line and play some electronic slots! They also host a variety of events, from live music and trivia nights to beer releases and community pop-ups. You can check their events calendar here.
Vibe Score: 4.5/5

Dog Friendly Details:
YES!! What makes this place even better was the fact that there were dogs everywhere! Unlike so many breweries that limit dogs to the patio, Drekker welcomes dogs both inside and out. There were pups hanging by the fire pit, napping under bar stools, and even roaming through the Brewhalla market with their humans.
They provide water bowls for use while you’re there and also have leashes and toys for sale, a big plus for dog parents like me.
Score: 4.5/5

Tapped In Takeaway

Drekker Brewing Company holds a solid 4.8 star rating on Google and I will definitely be adding a 5-star review of my own. If you appreciate the historic brick buildings and like to visit places that don’t feel like every other restaurant and bar in town, this is the place to go!
Whether you’re road-tripping through North Dakota or heading home for the holidays, Drekker deserves a detour. I’ll definitely be back to see what fun flavor combinations they come up with next.
